Format a NTFS partition to XFS

I've got two drives of which the second one is used for windows. This drive has two partitions: 1 NTFS 15 gig and 2 Vfat 35 gig. Since I bought vmware and want to get rid of the NTFS partition I want to format it to XFS. The second partition needs to stay Vfat since some clients in the network only run win. How do I get this partition formated?

you will presumably have mkfs.xfs on your system, just use that to format the partition, e.g. "mkfs.xfs /dev/hdb1" and then also use fdisk or cfdisk to change the partition typ from NTFS to the correct type, which i would assume to be standard linux type, i.e. 83
