flat panel monitors

Hey yeah was just wondering about flat panel monitors and linux. I have heard differing stories about such monitors being compatible or not being compatible. So to clarify things i would appriciate it if people who have flat panel monitors and use linux to post whether they have had any problems with them and linux or if you have absolutley no problem with them and linux. Also what graphics card, linux distribution and version, and analog or digital. Thanks people

Hello,
I have not had many problems using the viewsonice vg171b or currently the vx800. I use a compaq evo n800x laptop with an ati radeon 7500 video card. I am currently using slackware 9.1 but have previously used Red Hat 8 and 9. One cautionary note, the latest redhat update for xfree86 did mess up my xconfiguration on my redhat install pretty bad so that the flat panel did not work in its native resolution (1280x1024) I eventually hacked my xf86config enough that I got it working again, but it still isn't the same. I also have my boss running redhat 9 on an ibm thinkpad using the viewsonic vx800 and it works fine.

No problems here with Samsung 193T. Still using a VGA cable though. Gonna try with DVI soon.

I'm using a Dell Dimension 4600 with a E171FP analog flat panel, although I had to set up the flat panel as a Dell 1701 (analog) in SuSE. I've got a GeForce 4 video card too and everything works great.
