It is a dump of the storange of the panel, looks like the whole system is stored there.
I`m just wondering if theres an image-file, ASCII-file or anything on there that makes up the logo in the panel display.
Just don`t know what to look for.
Hacking a fire alarm system, even if it's "mostly for fun" as you say, could have unintended consequences. What if you introduce a bug and the alarm doesn't work? We're talking about life or death here. Leave it alone.
I'd think you'd have to find the image and just replace it with another image that is the same depth, size and name as the original. As this is how most show image on boot up is done. If it is not done this way, then it has to be hard coded somehow in "bites and bits" nomenclature, for a lack of a better way to say it.
then you'd have to get the source code and have at it, then it might fall into what post #4 states.
