Filesystem to handle files of size about 700mb~


hello, i will be getting myself a new harddisk basically for keeping lots of movies,their typical filesize would be around 700mb.which filesystem would be suited to handle files of this size efficiently,fastly and reliably.
PS there might be some once in a blue moon improper shutdowns too.my OS is debian lenny ,pclinuxos 2009

you can try ext3 with large_file support ( see -O large_file feature of mke2fs )
xfs would be a safe bet but 100% not reliable when there is an unclean powerdown.
