Filesystem sync problem

Hello All,

From some days i am getting a problem. in a linux virtual machine, if i extend the harddrive, the size is not getting synchnorized in the OS untill reboot. i tried to manually synchnorize using the sync command but it is not updating

But after reboot the kernel syncs it and i can extend the physical volume. is there a way to manually update the filesystem sync force fully...

Thanks and Regards,
Hamerins

It is more appropriate to run native rather than over a VM when you are doing some hard drive modifications.
