File sharing in FC3


Where can i learn how to enable file sharing in FC3 ? Thanks

Be more specific. What kind of file sharing do you mean?

you need to study something about NFS then ( Linux to Linux)
you maybe also would like to study Samba (Linux and Windows)

oops, sorry.......... I didn't notice it....
I think you have to learn googling too (verb : to google)
it really helps.....
for linux networking, this forum is really great too....
tons of problems/cases.........just do a search of your problem
but you ask for NFS step by step , check this......

Hi JrLz, just want to ask, how do i install the ADSL service in FC3 ? i just can't find the RPM in the add/remove software. I going to install internet via dsl. Thanks

JrLz, i followed the instruction inside the article. When i issue "service portmap start" or even nfs and nfslock in the terminal as root, it got error as below

Starting portmap: Portmap: error while loading shared libraries:libnol.so.1. cannot open shared object file: permission denided

What does it mean ? Pls advise Thanks

hey , man , sorry, I've been out of this forum for long, many jobs..........
I've never installed DSL internet, don't have one connection

about your second problem

you're missing that library, try to find it and install it on your system.
after that, try to start the service , if it doesn't help, try to to reinstall your whole package.
