File server backup arhitecture

Hi!

I'd like two servers on which data would be parallel saved, one of them is the main server and the other just a backup server. In case main server crashes, backup server would completely replace it. The problem is i don't know how this could be accomplished. Any ideas would be great! I'm researching NDMP at this moment, some say it's possible over NFS.... What do you think and what are your experiences?

Fail-Over

Take a look at SOS Standby Server or google "Linux automatic fail-over"
