File does not exist. And yet it does...what to do?

Can anyone explain how this is true? I'm trying to cd to /opt/cxoffice/bin/cxuninstall.sh

But I get http://www.furiae.org/confused.jpg

I am tired, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Clearly the folder exists, but yet it doesn't. Thoughts? Even to tell me I've missed something clearly visible......

cd cxoffice

(no slash)

How come your term truncates? I can't read the whole output of the first command.

Yeah, whenever your in a directory and you need to cd into a sub directory, there is no need for the / in front of it. When you do that, it is trying to look for the directory on your / partition or tree.

Like this:

$ pwd
/home/drew/media
$ ls
mp3
$ cd /mp3
no such file or directory
$ cd mp3
$ pwd
/home/drew/media/mp3
