fetchmail

Does someone know where fetchmail saves the downloaded messages? Because when I executed fetchmail it returned an error but when I checked for the mail with another program it said that there where no messages on the server.

fetchmail is a standard unix mailbox compliant program, and as such adds new messages to /var/spool/mail/username to accees them you 'll need a client that can access the mailboxes also, like pine
