Fedore Core 2 running slow


i have installed fedora core 2 Server on my intel p4 PC with 128 MB ram and 40 GB hdd. i have alloted 20 GB to linux. i have installed complete packages except the development packages.

My problem is that the linux is running very slow on my pc. it takes 2-3 min. to start any application. can someone help me in this case? so as how can i increase the working speed of linux.

hi Sagar,

The amount of RAM you have is well enough for shell and also KDE and Gnome are supposed to perform good (not optimal tho) in it

What is the amount of swap space you have created.....?
