Archlinux is a rolling distribution and typically integrates from upstream as soon as new stuff is available. Not sure about Fedora.

fedora "Rawhide"
is not a working operating system !!!!!!!!!
it NEVER WAS !!!!!!!!
It never will be !!!!!!!!!
it is the testing of the NEXT version
right now that is fedora 21 ALPHA testing
as soon as the beta testing for 21 is LOCKED
rawhide will become FEDORA 22 -- BEFORE FEDORA 21 IS EVEN RELEASED !!!!!!!!
so if you start with 20
turrn on "rawhide" it will make a Frankensteined install of 20/21
then about 2 months BEFORE 21 is released it will move from fedora 21 BETA to Fedora 22 ALPHA
then you install will be a Frankensteined install of 20/21/22 -- even BEFORE 21 is released
and in all likely hood will NOT WORK !!!!
if you do not know what "rawhide" is and can FIX the problems and commit bug fixes to the developers
then DO NOT USE RAWHIDE !!!!!!!

Arch most definitely has newer packages.

Welcome to the forums!
Can you provide any links or evidence to support this assertion?

They are almost always the same as each other.

Here is a comparison of Arch to (insert distro here):
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php..._distributions
Anyone down for making a script to compare current versions between rawhide and arch?

The "rawhide" repo is not a "rolling" distro
it never was and never will be
it is the TESTING for the NEXT version

JohnW is correct here.
Here's a quick link to the wiki page on differences between rolling release and upgrade releases.
