Fedora 13 on Macbook Pro 13" (7,1)

Was anyone able to run Fedora 13 on Macbook Pro 13" (7,1)?

I downloaded Fedora 13 i686 Live CD, booted with it, and got this error:

ata 2: COMRESET failed (errno=-16)
ata 1: COMRESET failed (errno=-16)

No root device found
Boot has failed, sleeping forever

Any ideas how to fix this?

They have released the patch and it's merged into the stable kernels. Right now you can install openSuSE 11.3 and the Ubuntu Lucid Lynx daily build on the MBP 7,1. Not sure if anyone else is on board as of yet.

Thanks Leopard. Any word on a working Fedora release with a MBP 7,1 friendly kernal?
Please pardon my ignorance if this is a truly redundant question.

No, you make a usb flash drive with a fedora install on it like any live usb.

Your issue is the sata controller. I was trying to suggest a way to get it to be booted via usb that bypasses the sata issue.

No, it doesn't. So far the only live cd I've seen work is Ubuntu

You might have to wait for Fedora 14

You could also make your own ISO that has an updated kernel...

Sorry, but I can't find any equivalent of daily builds on Fedoras websites...

Best wishes though

Where could I find such an updated kernel? Could you use the kernel from a Ubuntu distribution or would that be cheatin'

I couldn't even get a Live CD of Fedora 13 to boot last night.
