FC6 installs but fails to display anything at runtime.
Friends,
I know this might sound strange but I have a problem with FC6 "Zod".
FC6 "Zod" has cleanly installed on my PC (which also has Windows XP Professional installed). Unfortunately, however, when I boot the PC with FC6, the monitor goes blank.
With a view to obviating the possibility of an incompatible on-board graphics chip, I have had an AGP graphics card installed. This, sadly, has still hadnt helped at all.
I shall be grateful if you could please help me solve this issue.
No offence meant bro. But I dont think you are exactly seized of the problem.
Trust me, I have tried every trick in the book to get this distribution up and running. Including trying every possible graphics card available in the market.
If this is of any assistance to you, let me add here that I have had FC5 running perfectly fine on the same PC with and without ANY MAKE OF graphics card.
So, obviously, this has got something to do with the FC6 distro itself rather than being only focussed on the hardware per se.
Thanks in advance for trying.
P.S.: You will find the specs of my machine (except the graphics card, of course, since I have got a plethora of them at hand and all of them have proved of no use in helping me getting rid of the problem) in my signature. Look for it carefully and you shall surely find it. Thanks once again for your efforts.
Well first of all let me say that I did see your signature but the hardware listed there was just not detailed enough. Hence my request to give the output of lspci.
This is especially relevent now since the problem has probebly nothing to do with your graphics card, so maybe it's something to do with your mobo?
