FC3 not picking up my KVM switch

All,

I am using a KVM switch so I can share a keyboard, Monitor and mouse between to machines. The keyboard and monitor portion of it works fine. However, what do I need to do to make the linux box properly accept the Microsoft Intelli wheel Mouse that I want to share. Can someone give me the right configuration?

Having additionsal detail would help. Does the mouse not work at all, or is it just that the scroll wheel isn't working? Have you confirmed that the plug for the mouse is securely seated? It's not entirely clear what in particular the actual issue is.

I have a similar issue with a cheap KVM. The mouse acts erratic, the pointer jumps all over the screen. If I unp[lug the mouse form teh KVM and plug it directly to the PC it all works fine.

My best guess is that the KVM emulates a specific mouse protocol and it's not IM/PS2.

One of these days I'll work on tracking it down but till then I've just been lazy and put 2 mice on my desk.
