I am trying to set my console resolution with the fbset command so that all of the consoles are set to the same resolution at boot.
With the "fbset -a" command, I can easily set all the consoles with the same settings. However, this only works when I am actually logged into the machine.
I have put the exact same line in rc.local, rc.S, and even inittab (
as suggested by this article), but it only sets the first console properly, all of the others are at the default settings.
What seems to be the problem here? How can I set the system up to correctly configure all the consoles without me having to manually enter the command after I login?
