ext3 bad super block

Hi All,
Iam getting the following error while booting the RHL 9 system.

/home: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read while readin
g block 516

/home: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read reading jour
nal superblock

e2fsck: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read while check
ing ext3 journal for /home

I tried the following commands.

#e2fsck -yp -cc -block ### /dev/hda3 (where ### is the alternative super block number)

Still Iam getting the same error.

Regards,
Sridhar Kumar K

Hi,
I solved the problem. My PC is dual bootable. I went to windows and used "bletch" software to retrieve all the files in my linux partition. Next I created new filesystem by using the command "mkfs -t ext3 -L /home /dev/hda3" . This new filesystem is created in place of the old partition.
Next I copied all the files in Windows to my newly created Linux partition.

I'm having a similar problem. Can you point me at this "Bletch" software? I cannot seem to find it. Thank you very much, Eric.
