export/import mzilla-mail setting FROM windows install to Linux
 

Hi

I've a install of Mozilla on my windows box. The transfer to Linux has now happened :-)

The only thing I need to sus is how to copy my mail settings from my windows install of Mozilla Mail into my Linux install of Mozilla Mail???

Any help much appreciated, I've searched this site but can't find a similar scenario.

Well I guess there should be some Export feauture you can use in Windows version and then import it the same way using Linux version. Don't know exactly though but it should be a standard feauture...

Is this a dual boot or do you have two boxen one with linux the other with windows? You can export your address book and bookmarks, but I think you'll have to setup your servers and such manually.

I have a dual boot machine. I have also sussed this problem. It involves copying directories and reseting file permissions, I will post the solution as soon as I have confirmed it is working fine, for others to benefit. It did all email, email settings, filters - everything...
