Export all users to file


Is there a way to export all user's to a file...i want a list of spreadsheet of the user.
we have RedHat 9 shrike kernel 2.4.20 - 31.9 on an i686
samba 1.0.4

cut -d: -f 1 /etc/passwd >> me.txt

no it will not, you wont get passwords anyhow, cause they are encrypted.
