Question Expanding a partition

I would like to expand my /var partition but have no idea how to do this without losing some of my data from the other partitions.

RH 7.2

Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda5 381139 280412 81049 78% /
/dev/hda1 46636 5955 38273 14% /boot
/dev/hda2 37009868 225924 34903940 1% /home
none 256644 0 256644 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hdb1 38211404 1046568 35223784 3% /usr
/dev/hdb2 256665 218483 24929 90% /var

Any help is appreciated.

parted might be a solution for you http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/ , but I think you just need to clean up some stuff on /var,
/var/tmp is getting filled up real quickly, so take a look there, are you running a webserver on this thing?
/var/log is another condidate for housekeeping.
