Everything is tiny and hard to read, but there is no room on the desktop
Hi!
I made the plunge this week because I was fed up with Windows XP. I am now running Suse linux 9.3 and I feel VERY cramped. I don't want to use multiple desktops. When Was on Microsoft Windows, I could get so many windows open in one screen, now I cannot have move than 1. With one the text is too small and blurry and I cannot read anything.
The resolution is the same of that of windows. (My eyesight is still very good).
But everything is big and blurry, windows it was all small clear and crisp.
Any thoughts of why smaller text takes more space?
Another option is to set the overall dpi value for X. If you edit startx, there is a serverargs="" line. You can add something like "-dpi 100" to increase the font size. Worked for me at least...
