/etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 0: cannot open: No such file or directory

Hi Eveyone,

I'm using Slackware8..
when I use mail or pico or any mail client, I can't use it because there's not
sendmail.cf and appears this message:
"/etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 0: cannot open: No such file or directory"

though I install the full packages that come with slackware..it always happen with slackware, but there's none in redhat or other distro which I used before..

I searched about sendmail.cf in entire system but there was nothing!

what should I do? please enlighten me..

Thanks in advance

do you have the sendmail package installed on your system? that's definitely where the file comes from, so unless it got knocked on the head somewhere, yuo've not got it installed

It's isntalled..

Yes,It's installed..and all the packages

sendmail packages in the slackware cd-rom located in "/cdrom/slakware/n1/sendmail.tgz"
further,I've reinstalled again "#installpkg /cdrom/slakware/n1/sendmail.tgz"
and the problem still on!!

what's the solution?!
