Hi All,

I am getting a error of unknown host when i am running my program. At the same time i am able to ping or ftp the server with the same host name.

e,g, entry in the /etc/host file is :
i am able to ping/ftp kaub and IP address as well but when i am using the hostname, kaub in my program, i am getting the error unknown host.

Appreciate if anybody will help me out..

Give more details, which program you are talking about??

Thnx for ur reply, problem has resolved. Actually port was not opened.
