error message "no such file or directory"

Hello I want the Redhat 8.1 linux server to access netware 5.1 server using NFSv3, but it keeps getting "no such file or directory" error messages. The volume that that is being mounted is a traditional volume (not NSS.) Does anyone know what is the problem, and how to resolve it or can you do direct me to where to go search for the answer?

Hi,

could you please post the statement that gives
that message as well? It's hard to say what's
going on with that chunk of info.

It would also be good to know whether there's
support for Novell networks and file-systems
built into your kernel.

Cheers,
Tink

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I do not have any other "chunk info" to provide . This question was pose to me by one of my professors, and I am stumped on the answer. So, any and all suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks
Luisa

Well, if this is a question to test your trouble-shooting
skills my answer should be all you need.

You need:
1. ncputils to do the user-space part
(try ncpmount -v)

2. kernel-support for novell file-systems and probably ipx networking
(grep the kernels configuration file for ncp)

3. you need to know the frame-type in use on campus
(ask the sys admin)

Without more information my questions is all
I can offer in trying to help to resolve the problem.

Cheers,
Tink
