The Linux installer is not detecting your hard disk....
I infer that it is a SATA drive, but you don't actually say that---please confirm.

What is "linux enterprice edition (vertion 4)"?? Do you mean RedHat Enterprise 4? Since that is a bit old, it is quite possible that it does not have SATA drivers.

I have a SATA system at home, and MOST modern distros install without a hitch. A few do not.

Unless you have a specific reason to use Enterprise, I would recommend Fedora, Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS, etc.

thank you for giving response.
But one person told that you have to download a particular device driver for 32 bit system.in the cd linux kernal does not support the driver for the sata disk .you need to download the driver first then you load it in floopy disk insert it while installition.then the os will reconize the hard disk.i donot know where to download the device drive for this problem.if you know that please inform me .i will try out of it.thank you very much .
