Error during compilation of X-WIndows on slackware-10.2

Dear Sir,

I've installed Slackware 10.2 on an Intel machine (Intel chipset GV). I've installed the following directories from slackware/ A(full), AP(partial), D(almost full), and L(partial). I configured , built and installed the following programmes from source code successfully:
1) Apache 1.3.33
2) PHP 4.x

But I'm facing problems with X-Windows (in building from source code).

Regarding X-Widows(source code):

1) I downloaded the source tarball from Xorg web site (X11R6.8.2-src.tar.bz2).
2) I decompressed in the /tmp directory.
3) I didn't carried on any configuration.
4) I ran make World in /tmp/xc directory as

tmp/xc#make World

After 15-20 minutes of compilation the following error occured in fontconfig:
error in function FcAtomicLock

Please help me. What I am supposed to do.

The documentation for Xorg says the application will build without a host.def file, but the included libraries for Fontconfig and FreeType2 do not build properly.
thee is a well documented example config file config/cf/xorgsite.def
you will need to make yours named as config/cf/host.def
and you have to use
#define HasFreetype2 YES
#define HasFontconfig YES

and of course freetype2 and fontconfig have to be installed
