wow 3 big question in the same msg.
1-your scanner : get SaneScan (search in google for "Scanner Linux" you should get the adress.
2-The printer. Go to Linuxprinting.org, you should get more info there.
3-Mozilla: maybe you have not installed OpenSSL that mozilla need to use Https? Or maybe hotmail just didn't like your browser? M$ only allow full control of their hotmail to people using M$ IE so maybe your error msg in a non-sense error from hotmail.

epson scanner problem
I have an epson 1650 photo.
the scanner was working fine, and I made a mistake by deleting the file" epson.conf" that was in my home directory.
I try to execute from gimp and from the terminal it display this error message " could not send command to scanner "
when I edit " /etc/sane.d/epson.conf " it is empty.
can anyone please tell me how to write the code for the "epson.conf ' when I edit it with emacs.
I have uninstall and reinstall both xsane, iscan and gimp-1.2, the problem is still continue

You need to keep existing problems/questions in the original threads please. Thank you. This one has been merged with the existing one. It makes it easier to follow instead of having many different threads on same subject scattered across the forum.

psm is an addon to mozilla
it allows you to access emcrypted websites, I have no problems with hotmail
You might as well go get the latest stable full install of mozilla and use it
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/r...2.1-sea.tar.gz
or get the source here
