Enabling linux framebuffer

Hello Everybody

To work with Qt Embedded , im in need of having read/write access to the framebuffer.
I have enabled framebuffer in my kernel too. Still i dont have any read/write access to my framebuffer. When i used a sample code to read data from framebuffer , it could just open the framebuffer but i couldnt read data from it.
I have RH9 with kernel 2.6.10 installed. Can anyone help me out in enabling read/write access to the framebuffer?

thanks

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
