Emulation System

Hi all, I have a few questions that I would like to get answered, and i would rather get them all in one message than spread them out over the many Threads.

I have an emulation system that I am building, The specs in a min.
I want it to be able to play games from some of the fallowing systems.
ps2/ps of course.
Xbox, Game Cube, Nes, SNES All the sega systems Incl. the Master System.
pc games as well. Some tv watching maybe, and some dvd watching. The system specs are as follows.
<----------------------------------------------------------------->
A Pentium celeron. 1.7GHZ W/ 1u Heatsink
512mb pc2100<--- Questionable at the moment.
30gb Laptop Hard drive and a 40gb HD.
Video Card ????? Not sure yet
Case. A highly modded Sparc Station 2
<----------------------------------------------------------------->
The motherboard and processor came from a Compaq Evo so did the Processor
There is still a lot of modding to do, and I havnt put it all together due to lack of time. But I would Like to know if there are that many USB WIFI adapters that will be able to stream my MP3's off a server in my room. The Video Card would need to be able to connect to my Tv using either Svid or DVI...

I am a to linux, so I would like a Distro that is some what easy to use, and would love it if there was some program that would make an interface like the on e that a local Game zone It basically can load a graphical list that shows the systems, when you click on one it shows the gamez, that Kind of thing ... If there are any that know where I can get a distro and that software to run it I would Greatly appreciate it if you would share such info with me!!!

I have been reading up at the site for a while and finally became a member. I am also a memeber at hardforums, come take a look! linuxquestions.org ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Pretty much any distro will be able to play dvd's. Probably tv, too, but there aren't a lot of tv tuners supported. NES, SNES and the Sega systems are all included in XMAME/XMESS. The only graphic interface for XMESS I know of would be a KDE addon that lets you run a game by right-clicking it in Konqueror. I don't remember it's name. As for current systems such as GC and XBox, I'd be surprised if your system specs are high enough. You'll definitely want a high-end video card for them.

size issue

I am willing to spend the money and a pretty High end vid card if I need to, I have a 5200FX that is laying around for the moment, but that will be a temp till i get my new on. I would still like to see what OS's and what GUIS you all think will work.
Thanks for your post

Right now, the gamecube, ps2, and xbox are extremely experimental. It probably won't run what you want due to the incompleteness of those emulators. A Geforce 2 runs n64 and ps1 emulators nicely. 256 MB of memory is even enough.

new emulators

I am more focusing on the older systems, since I know a few places to get there ROMS.
I am ok on waiting till a stable version of the software comes out.

I have decided to scrap the tv tuner, that I think was a little to ahead of my self.
