Emergency help

ok well i always run windows, and i was trying to install Slackware 10.1 to an HP pavilion a730n which contains a Hard drive interfaceSerial ATA-150.
i do not know why this happened, but i made a partition to install linux since it didnt not even recognize my hard drive, because when i tried to run the cfdisk command, this came out

FATAL ERROR: Cannot read disk drive
Press any key to exit cfdisk

and now i cant even run windows, nor the recovery partition, neither install my slackware distro into the partition i made, id really appreciate some help right now, and really quick
thanx

SATA disks show up as scsi devices. You need to run "cfdisk /dev/sda". Just executing cfdisk will try to open /dev/hda.
