Editing mail headers with nail

The nail man page says this about the variable editheaders:
When a message is edited while being composed, its header is included in the editable text. 'To:', 'Cc:', 'Bcc:', and 'Subject:' fields are accepted within the header, other fields are ignored.
Ok, so I can add/edit the above fields. But, what if I want to add/edit other fields? Is that possible with nail?

Like it says, other fields are ignored. It's most likely possible if you want to rewrite the program yourself..
