editing frontpage sites in linux

Is there a way to either (a)edit a frontpage site directly in linux(you know, the same way frontpage does it) or (b) access a frontpage site using a client such as gFTP...a couple of things to rule out. tried accessing using gFTP, ports 21/80/8080/<left port blank> in both ftp&http mode. If this makes any sense please help...

Actually, I don't :)
Frontpage is *evil* and I don't use it.

However, the data transfer is defined by your
web hoster, not by the program you use ....
If your web hoster only allows a special way
of updating the site that requires you to run
frontpage nag them to change it ;)

If your web hoster supports HPUT for http-sites
you could give amaya a look, it's a relatively
well done package for web design/maintenance.

Cheers,
Tink

basically frontpage logs in ans edits the files directly on the server. And yes frontpage is evil. but that is beside the point. What I need to do is figure out how to trick the server into thinking that I am logging on using frontpage so that I can change the file that are on there.
