.ecryptfs consumes too much memory

Hi,

/home/.ecryptfs takes on my disk ~30G while /home/myUsername takes less than 4G. Can someone help with that problem?

Actually 1 file in one of the subfolders of .ecryptfs takes 26Gb.

I reinstalled kubuntu 14.10 after trying 15.04 without formatting /home partition which was also encrypted on 15.04. Could that have something to do with the problem?

Is there any way to find out how the directories and folders in .ecryptfs map to /home/username? Maybe I could simply delete the huge directory as maybe it's a leftover from 15.04?

Regards,
Artur

I don't know much about ecryptfs... But you could try this:
"How can I completely remove ecryptfs from my system and delete .Private?"
http://askubuntu.com/questions/12858...delete-private

and this
"Is there a tool to map ecryptfs plaintext and encrypted filenames?"
http://unix.stackexchange.com/questi...pted-filenames

Good luck!
