Eclipse plugins....

Hi friends,
i have a problem here..
i am using Laika plugin with eclipse to interface with the scratchbox environment...
when i edit the plugin.xml of this laika.. in the sections like <filter> or <wizard> or <action> or say <page> the corresponding User Interface menus inside the eclipse are still getting displayed...
To be specific about my problem.. i dont want some Menus and Tabs in the diaplay(these menus are getting displayed since i have added laika plugin now i want to alter this to my requirement ) when eclipse starts....
How to solve this problem..??
is there some cache and history that the eclipse is storing ?
or do i need to edit somewhere else apart from plugin.xml ?
and also right now i dont have the support for Plugin Development Environment in my Eclipse.. i have only Eclipse for C / C++ developers..

please help me
