Question easy question - umount /mnt/cdrom ?


Running RH 7.1

When I run umount /mnt/cdrom i get:
umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy

How do I make it not busy?

Is there a disc in there still doing suntin'? If not I guess you could kill it. lol Drastic, probably...At the moment i'm only two cups of coffee into my day. Type ps x and find the ID and kill it. Not a permenant fix, but it's fun. Hehe...This has been my brain-dead dumb-arse post of the day.
There is obviously something else happening here. How is it being mounted?

make sure your not accessing the disc in anyway, like an open file manager window looking at the files on the disc.. if your in X of course looking at the files..
can you still cd into the directory to look at the disc contents..?
you can try the eject command and see if that does anything...
