DVB - unable to watch some channels

Hello,

I've got a usb DVB adapter, and I've scanned for channels.

I can watch 6 or so DVB channels (ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5), but no BBC channels, and there are around 15.

At first I thought it was because there is a space in the naming of the BBC channels (BBC ONE, BBC TWO, etc), but I can watch Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Im wondering whether anyone else has had this problem, and how to resolve it.

I don't really know but here's a couple of guesses...

Is there some way you can check the signal strength? Are all the scanned channels showing as strong or are the BBC ones weak? In my area, (Central Scotlend) BBC transmissions and Independent TV transmissions are from separate transmitters so there may be a difference there.

Have you got the most up-to-date Firmware file for your DVB adapter? Maybe it needs a better/newer one. Note that this should live in a firmware directory and is loaded at boot time, you don't have to flash the adapter or anything.

My Hope it's usefull.

Play Bonny!

Most DVB dongles are very very deaf receiver wise. The signals are probably just not strong enough for it to receive.
Connecting it to a large antenna may solve it.
