Dutch tax authority: we can't make it more fun, but we can make it easier

For years this has been the slogan of the Dutch tax authority: We can't make it more fun, but we can make it easier [for you to pay more tax or for us to steal your money].

They have made a computer application available to fill out the tax return form. This application is available for Windows, Mac and for Linux.

No kidding! They have it for a few versions of Ubuntu/Gnome and one for Ubuntu/KDE.

I almost start to like them.

Okay...settle down and breathe...stick to the ALMOST part, do not start to like them, or they dont have to take your dough, you'll just give it to them :D

Got the same in belgium, only here it's called Tax on Web...but, in escence: the same thing...

They've been innovative for centuries. It was the Dutch Republic that invented stamp duty: they had a competition for people to invent a new tax!

Yup, leave it to the Dutch to come up with that idea... :)
