duall boot

I have two physical hard disk. In disk1 i have 2 partition (C and D) and in the partitin C i have istaled Windows XP Pro.

In te second disk2 I want to instal RedHat7.2. After instalation (I use grub) for dual boot. In the start I have choise only RH.

Then I go in

/boot/grub/grub.conf and insert following lines:

title Windows XP

rootnoverify (hd0,0)

chainloader +1

In the start i see the choise to selected operating system-RH7.2 or Win XP, but when I choose Windows XP, always start RH7.2.

hmm are you sure that winXP is installed on hda1?

maybe check the fstab to see that perhaps it is on another hda. That might be one posiblity.

I`m 100% sure. Now was deleted the partition where the RH was instaled.

i guess that you have automated the partitioning of the hd during the installation of rh :)

Could you post a copy of your grub.conf file. And make sure that hda1 is your winxp partition. It's possible it's not and grub is falling back to linux because of a fallback line in grub.
