Dual Booting win2k and other help full advice

Greetings I stumbled on to this site from and freshemeat so I think I found a new home.

I just whent through a 5 hr trial and error with Red Hat 8....I have used Linux previously with lots of help so I got as far as to get the OS loaded on my system with little to no hassle.

Then I was clueless as to what I needed to do.

So here are my questions.

1st off I am now going to dual boot for the time beaning. I know windows pretty damn well now and Linux is so just for me but I need time to learn at least RH well enought that I dont need windows anymore. ....soo

How should I go about making the partions with disk druid ? Size and which or what to do is helpful.

I will be useing grub as the boot loader unless told not to.

I have a digital out on my Soundblaster card. RH 8 comes with the sound fine and dandy but I need to figure out how to get the sound to go through the digital port so my speakers can work.
I used to know the command line but I have some how forgot it so any help here would be just awsome.

and finally how do I get my networkcard *i know what model* to activate properly. Do I need to be connected or can I do it with out no connection ?

All help is awsome if you can offer it.

I think you can trust on the RH installation process regarding things like disk partitioning, hw config and the rest. Did you have problems ? of what kind ?

My advice: if want dual boot windows-linux use lilo as the boot loader. It works for me. Note all the threads about dual-booting.
