dual booting solaris and debian

I want to dual boot solaris and debian. The only current problem I have with that is that I dont know which boot loader I should use or anything. I am wondering if i should follow the idea that since windows likes to be installed first for a dual boot (at least thatxss what I have been told), that I should install it first and than debain and use debians boot loader, which makes sense if I want to add an entry to the boot loader to test a kernel. But solaris seems like it would work too, so I dont know.

Well, this will depend on your hardware. If it is x86 then grub will boot solaris and debian just fine. You need to chainload solaris though (like you would with windows).
This link should help:

As for which order to install, I don't think it matters, though I have no idea what kind of bootloader solaris will try to install on x86 if installed first. I recommand just using grub anyway.
