Dual boot option not working
This is very odd because I have had a dual boot system for more than a year now, and never had this problem before. Yesterday I installed a new LCD monitor and all of a sudden I am unable to select between Windows and Linux when booting up the system. My keyboard is "dead" until my default Linux OS has completely booted. The mouse works, but I cannot make the selection with the mouse. Here is a description of my system:
ASUS motherboard, A7N266-E Linux Mandriva 2006 Windows XP KDE booting with LILO (gui) Logitech keyboard ViewSonic VA1912 monitor (previously had a viewsonic crt monitor) As I said, I've had the system working for about a year and a half, and the only thing different now is that I connected a new LCD monitor. I have no idea how upgrading the monitor could effect the keyboard when booting; and at no other time. |
