dual boot mac & linux


I have a dual core intel mac and would like to install linux on an external usb hard drive and dual boot it with Mac OS X 10.5 leopard. Anybody have proper detailed instuctions on being able to do this properly from a mac? I would like to use the mac option key on boot to swtich to linux when desired.

Your probably best to search in the Mac OSX forums also, because you'll need to configure the Darwin boot loader to boot Linux. And because your talking USB, makes it even tougher for Linux users to help with that one.
