Now I did exactly what you told me:
Primary master - Windows XP
Primary slave - Ubuntu
Booted from the Ubuntu live cd
Input

sudo grub
root (hda1,2)
setup(hd0)
quit

Unfortunately it doesn't work.
Grub appears, I choose Ubuntu, Ubuntu starts,

at the second boot step it writes
"Mounting root file system"
then it writes
"waiting for root file system"
and it hangs.

I think Grub is Ok but it lies on Ubuntu.
What should I do?

I found another intersting thing. When I go
to grub menu and at the Ubuntu line I press e
three lines come :
root(hd1,2)
kernel path ............................................/hdc3

I think there should be hdb3 instead of hdc3.
Should I change it or I mess my whole system up?

That "ok" cause you changed the hdds physical.
You wrote me an email and I dropped you one just a few seconds ago.
Don't boot with the Live CD
boot with Ubuntu CD that is used to install on the HDD.
And at the ISOLINUX prompt where you can set special Install boot options like acpi=off and so on. You should type linux rescue
then do the steps as above.
