DUAL BOOT disk drive question

I have w$indows 2000 on my main drive HDA1 and Redhat linux on my second drive HDA2. Anyway I have a boot loader installed so I can boot
into either of the 2 OS's. So here's my question if I want to reclaim one of the drives, wipe it clean will this kill my loader ? Can I find out witch drive has the loader installed on it ? If it is on the drive that I want to trash
what would I do to fix this so I can boot up into the OS.

Thanks

rt

The bootloader shouldn't be uninstalled if it is on the MBR unless you are installing Windows or getting rid of the drive with the MBR. One question, do you mean that Windows is hda and linux is hdb? You could install your bootloader on a floppy or make a boot disk just in case.
