DSL Access

I just got dsl and it was a cinch to setup in redhat (neat) now I want to get it setup in crux soI downloaded rp-pppoe (which I believe is what you use) in redhat. and, told mozilla to saved it in /mnt/crux/tmp but when I boot into crux /tmp is empty. I'm totally stumped on this one. I was thinking perhaps it's because the redhat partition is ext3 and the crux is reiserfs?
Thanks,
Kyle

Many distros wipe /tmp/ on boot. Never put anything in /tmp that you want to survive a reboot (or any length of time, really).

Thanks! I guess that's why it's called temp. I feel pretty stupid now.

Okay. I've installed rp-pppoe and I still can't connect. After configuring (adsl-setup) I ran adsl-start but it always just times out. I gave it eth0 (which works under redhat) however when I run a ping -c 50 eth0, it just says device not found. How do I tell it where the device is?
Thanks,
Kyle

edit: no it says device or resource busy.
