Dpkg Help!
 

When I try to add a program i get this error, "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. " what do i do, i run "dpkg --configure -a" and i get a "sub menu" i do not know what to do from there to fix the problem I have Ubuntu 6.10, any help would be nice?
Step by step if possible, I am quite new to Linux, sry

Can you give us more info? I don't know what you mean by a "sub menu".

sudo dpkg --configure -a
,and then enter your password
