Downgrade Linux ?
 

Is it possible to downgrade Red Hat? For example downgrade from Red Hat 9 to Red Hat 8.0 without reinstall?

I don't think so.
Besides Red Hat 8 is garbage IMO, 9 is much better, if you wanna go down, go to 7.3.

The only way a downgrade would be possible that I know of, would be if you created separate primary partitions.
IE - a separate primary partition for your root and your /home and or /usr. That way you could install over top of your / (root) partition and everything in there would be gone, but all of your current personal files and user files would be preserved, you would probably just have to mount them again (and be sure not to format them on the install).
But that still requires a reinstall of your /root which is basically still a reinstall, but at least that way you could save your info.
If you selected the default partitioning method in red hat, then you can't do it as far as I know.
Maybe someone else knows a way, but I don't think there is one.
