double-sided printing

Hello!

I can configure my printer to be double-sided. However, the printer doesn't let me put the paper back into the tray before it starts the back side. What am I doing wrong?

As far as I can tell, in Linux, in order to get duplex print, you need a duplex printer or you need to convert the file you want printed to postscript or pdf. Then use a ps or pdf viewer app to select and print odd numbered pages, re-stack and rotate, then print even numbered pages.

Or, download a utility called duplex, which is a set of shell scripts which emulate duplex printing in somewhat the same way that windoze does it.

I could to it that way, but I there is a duplex option in the printer's configuration. I will look into the utility.

Thanks!
