docker quick question

Hi-

I started to read about dockers. I know you can run different images with different o/s versions. It think you can run a fedora app inside a fedora container on an ubuntu machine. The docs also said you can have more than one version of ubuntu running in different containers.

What is the advantage of putting postgresql in it's own container? How is that practically used?

thanks!

hi-

I see some articles about docker and postgresql out there. They clear it up a little for me. The image could be preloaded and put on the server without having to change the server much. It is kind of cool.

thanks!
