DNS Issue with one domain only

Hi,

I have got one domain which my server fails to resolve time and time again, and I have about 20 machines all having the same DNS configuration.

The culprit however will resolve every single domain out there except one particular one which resolves fine on my other machines.

I have gone through the whole system to see if there would be any remnants for any DNS config for this domain, they aren't and nor should there be coz I never had any relationship to it prior.

Is there something that I might be overlooking, any tips as to what I can check next.

If I force this machine to use a different DNS server via nslookup again the domain resolves.

Doesn't make sense and I'm running out of options.

Cheers,

If you know the IP of this domain, you can always just manually add it to the /etc/hosts file for it to resolve correcly.

Found the issue in the mean time, it was more then just a DNS issue, it was an IP block in the network where the name server for that particular domain exists.

Ta,
