DNS Caching Server
So this morning I setup an old pc as a CentOS DNS caching server, then set the other pc's at my apartment to use that machine as their primary dns server... Either I'm just imagining things, or doing this made a big difference in web site request response time. I should set the machine up to be a proxy server as well to also cache web content, then my internet connection will seem uber fast!
Has anyone else noticed an improvement when switching from your ISP's dns to a local dns cache?
